Isn't Etsy Fun!!!

My day started off great when my husband showed up with the mail before I left for work. One of the items with my name on it was a package that I purchased from an Etsy shop so I was eager to see if it lived up to the photos. I was not disappointed.

What I ordered was a check book cover from Diane Sudhoff from South House Designs. The package came wrapped in the cutest packaging ever, a vintage pattern piece and tied with beautiful ribbon that I'm sure I'll be able to use in my stitching so I was just so delighted with the effort she went to that I almost hated to open it....but I did and found a really cute check book holder that was just what I wanted! So a big thank you today to Diane, I love it that you made me feel special today!

Another camera case

Ok, I finished another camera case. It measures about 4x5 and is great for bloggers who carry their camera in their purses and want quick and easy access. I hope to get it on my etsy page sometime this week.... I'm working on another one and a glasses case. Usually I only take time to stitch on the weekends. My weekday nights seem to be filled with meetings. What do you all do in your spare time?

The Secret Life of Bees

My bookclub got together on Monday night here at my house and having read The Secret Life of Bees we watched it on DVD. It was an enjoyable evening that started off with dinner. I made soup and everyone brought something. The movie was very true to the book. Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifa and Alicia Keys and Dakota Fanning....how could you miss with a cast like that.

I got to use my new white dishes and looked for pink bowls to brighten things up a bit but couldn't find any so settled for pink napkins. I found some interesting crystal thingys that I scattered around on the table, they have a hole through them for hanging so I'm thinking about what I'll want to bedazzle!
