Today my daughter Molly is 21. How the time flies, has it really been 21 years already? The time has flown and is mostly a blur. But she is a great kid and living in an apartment finding her wings. The “before” photo was when she was celebrating her first birthday and the “after” is more current.
The Mark Harris song, “Find Your Wings” pretty much says it all.
The Mark Harris song, “Find Your Wings” pretty much says it all.
It's only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold
So many different prayers I'll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I'll want to know You're walking in the truth
And If I never told you I want you to know
As I watch you grow
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
May passion be the wind That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories
It's not living if you don't reach for the sky
I'll have tears as you take off But I'll cheer as you fly.
Happy Birthday Molly... I love you.

Happy Birthday to beautiful Molly! :)
Kay, I had tears in my eyes when I saw that second photo. What a precious little one she was! And what a lovely confident young woman she is today.
Of course by the time I got to the end of that song, that huge lump in my throat had tears rolling down my face.
Do you think by chance that girl, uh, young woman in the kitchen is an impostor? I mean really now, how could those years have flown by so quickly?
Gotta grab the tissues, I'm selecting an apartment for my baby boys this week. Guess we can look at old photos together. *sniff*
Hugs,
Melissa
Hi Kay,
What a beautiful young woman Molly is. I love that song you mentioned. It is so hard to give them wings, but if we've done our job right, it will be okay!
Hugs,
LeAnn:)
Happy Birthday Molly,
It just doesn't seem possible that Molly is 21. I think the 1st time I met her she was either around 11 years of age.
The years have certainly flown by and she has become a beautiful young woman. Celebrate Molly!
What a beautiful girl! You are truly blessed.
YEAH! Happy Birthday, Molly!
I love that Mark Harris Song - it's on my iPod! :)
Oh yes, how they grow up so fast. My daughter just turned 24 last month and has flown the coop too, moved to Toronto for school.
Molly is just beautiful, happy belated birthday to her!
What a beautiful young lady, How blessed you both are!
